Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio has reportedly divulged the private bankruptcy information of its customers to four credit agencies. According to reports, the bank sent out a letter to an undisclosed amount of customers saying it "inadvertently reported that you had filed for bankruptcy." One customer, Abby Hanger, is in disbelief that her bank did something to affect her credit score and claims that a spokeswoman for the bank allegedly told her that the number of customers affected exceeds 20,000. The bank claims that the agencies have been notified of the error.
