MediaNews presented a reorganization plan to a U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge and received approval which will allow for the company to emerge from
Chapter 11 protection. The parent company of MediaNews, Affiliated Media Inc., filed under Chapter 11 and submitted this plan that had already been approved by major creditors. The company will be reducing its debt by over $700 million.
