Man Who Shot Teenage Boy Filing for Bankruptcy

A man who was accused of shooting and killing a teenage boy is now filing for bankruptcy which may result in the family of the boy not receiving the lawsuit money they were awarded. The man killed the boy when the teenager was knocked on the man's door and ran away, being shot because the man reports he though the boy was a burglar.
After pleading guilty to manslaughter, the man was ordered to pay the family $750,000. In filing for bankruptcy, the family may not see any of the money even though he has $4,500 in assets and $1 million in liabilities.
